Modern Research
Hyssop and its components have been shown to have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative, antiviral, cardiovascular, diabetes mellitus type 1, expectorant, and gall bladder effects. It has also been shown to have inhibitory effects on intestinal alpha-glucosidase activity and postprandial hyperglycemia.
