Spiked ginger lily and its components have been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-histaminic, ulcer-protective, anthelmintic, hypotensive, anti-spasmodic, analgesic, and hyperglycemic effects. It has also been shown to have intestinal alpha-glucosidase inhibitory potential.
