Modern Research
Naggarmutha and its components have been shown to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-nociceptive, antihypergycemic, central nervous system stimulant, and hepatoprotective effects. It has also been shown to have hypotensive and bradycardiac effects, suppresses spontaneous contractions of atria, uterus and jejunum, and inhibits histamine or acetylcholine-induced spasmolytic action.
