Marjoram and its components have been investigated for a number of biological activities including: antioxidant, hypoglycemic, antifungal, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, anticancer, inhibitory effect on acetyl cholinesterase, antiparasitic, helpful for inflamed skin wounds and infections, and protective role against the side effects of cyclophosphamide.
