Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride

Dr. Campbell-McBride holds a degree in Medicine, and postgraduate degrees in both Neurology and Human Nutrition. She has started an entire movement, which holds that there’s a vital need to detoxify and rebalance the gut in order for our brains to develop and function properly. Her book Gut and Psychology Syndrome is one of the most influential gut books and shows the link between neurological, psychological, and digestive problems. She describes effective and lasting treatment for hundreds of children and adults with autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD), schizophrenia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder and other psychiatric problems. Dr. Campbell-McBride recommends what is called the GAPS diet, which is derived from the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) created by Dr. Sidney Valentine Haas in the first half of the 20th century.
